Notes from the Archives
Projects
Thank you, sincerely, for your interest in our archival collections, which we are thrilled to share with you!

The Aga Khan Documentation Center at MIT Libraries has been incredibly fortunate to receive rich and varied archives from distinguished architects, scholars, photographers, and generous donors  since its inception in 2011.  We are excited to share some of the extraordinary archival material and the projects surrounding/encompassing them, in which we are involved.  A primary aim is to increase the visibility of our archives, whether they are fully processed or not, through this collection on Archnet.  We will highlight a sampling of the archives, on a rotating basis, with images of the collections when they arrived or to highlight them, some of which will likely not yet be fully identified.  Please note that some of the photographs are very out of focus, unfortunately, and are included to give an idea of what will be coming from a particular archive, either with better free-hand images, or scanned images, at some point.  We will be replacing the out of focus images with better images whenever possible.

This collection (reached by clicking on "View the Collection" on the image above, right) and its sub-collections (reachable by clicking on the images or eye icons below the collection image) are intended to provoke interest, show what is coming as we are able to digitize and describe the material more fully, and to let people know what some of our current projects and challenges are.  These archives are here at the Aga Khan Documentation Center at MIT Libraries and are available for study by appointment. Please contact Betsy Baldwin, Collections Archivist, with any questions, for more information, or to make an appointment.
