Terraza Renschhausen
Tangier, Morocco
Renschhausen Terrace refers to a group of buildings built by the German developer Adolf Renschhausen between 1890 and 1923 along Avenue d'Espagne under the terms of the plan for the zone developed by José Ochoa Benjumea.  Though Renschhausen initially had partners in the endeavor, by 1906 he decided to proceed on his own.  The terrace is located at the base of rue Portugal, and sits atop two buildings: the Kursaal, and the lower part of Inmeuble Renschhausen.  It is adjacent to another building, also developed by Adolf Renschhausen, the Hotel Majestic.  The facades are ornately decorated.
