Jami’ al-Atiq (Derna)
Darnah, Libya

Situated in the Al-Bilad district on the left bank of Wadi Derna, the mosque was built by Al Hajj Mohamed Bin Al Haj Mahmoud Bey Al Qarmanli, the son of Mahmud Bey al-Qarmanli, who was born in Derna. Construction was completed in 1689/1101 AH.


The mosque was completely destroyed in the catastrophic flooding of 10-11 September 2023.
