The design for the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce won first prize in a competition to determine the construction of the facility. The resulting structure, which was one of the most important centers for commerce in Iraq, was fully air-conditioned and included administrative offices, a casino, a meeting hall, an office tower, shops, and on-site parking.
