This is an award winning project in a competition to design a major mosque on the trunk of Al Jumeirah Palm in Dubai. The mosque was liberated from its traditional building typology, being itself constructed on a visionary new structure. The spiritual character is apparent in the indirect natural light filtered in the direction of Al Qibla. The detailed interiors as well manifest the modern contemporary approach in design.
