The project is a thirty-six room hotel with a coffeeshop, restaurant and swimming pool, situated next to the city hall. On a 4,000m2 site, the hotel consists of three buildings, each three-storeys high. The site for the hotel forms one of the quadrants of a circular ceremonial space where a stone obelisk stands in its centre surrounded by a large circular pond. The design respects the existing fabric, the central axis of the compound points towards the monument with the bedroom wings organised radially from the monument. In response to the cool climate, which is unfavourable for the breeding of mosquitoes, every bedroom has a small garden.
