Located on the coast, the 25-year-old main house is within a gated community. The brief required a new building to serve as an extension to this main house on its eastern side, sharing the garden and pool. Rectangular shaped rooms can function independently of each other and are defined by transparency and solidity, proximity and distance to each other. Facing windows allow cross ventilation and light. The structural system of column and slab is governed by the existing grid, walls are of white stone, and the roof is terracotta. The hollow- block concrete ceiling allows repetition of openings to the sky.
