This boutique hotel lies on the coast in an unspoilt area of Thailand, with no other developments nearby. The project’s masterplan is inspired by landscape typology, both physically and metaphorically. Physically, there are existing trees which have dictated the planning. Metaphorically, the plan bases itself on a maze, allowing privacy between each villa even though the villas are located very close to each other. Local granite stones have been used to reflect the local Thai seashore, and these stone walls were made by hand. The lobby and restaurant are naturally ventilated.
