This workspace takes up a double plot on an industrial estate of small and medium sized enterprises and is designed to foster collaboration with these businesses. A hangar-like envelope holds a sequence of flexible work areas from an open, triple-height warehouse space at the front, via a bridging section of offices and design studios, to further open-plan workshops at the rear. The building is approached via a lush garden and pond and its open aspect - the offices can be highly glazed because they are shaded - encourages interaction and dialogue.
