This centre provides state-of-the-art secure storage and support administration for Malaysia’s top investment company. Corporate governance is key to attracting investment and this facility is designed to embody trust. The buildings are orientated to minimise heat gain from the rising and setting sun and fenestration captures the prevailing windflow in both monsoon and summer months. The metal roof deck wraps the northeast and southwest facades to form a solar awning and a clerestory in the storage warehouse takes the place of mechanical ventilation. This passive energy strategy is backed up by a Building Automated System to intelligently control the environment and security of the centre.
