This bio-climatic house is built on the outskirts of Marrakech, without mechanical heating or cooling systems. The purpose is to demonstrate how to live more simply, without sacrificing comfort, thereby contributing directly to energy savings. This is accomplished by the application of traditional building techniques such as siting and planting, ventilation and the use of traditional building materials. Interior temperature readings, confirmed in two consecutive years, indicate 16 degrees centigrade as the low in the winter, and 33 degrees the high in the summer.
