Stockholm Mosque is the city's largest Muslim prayer space. Originally built as an electric power station, the building was designed by the Art Nouveau architect Ferdinand Boberg and completed in 1903. The original design shows the influence of 'Moorish' architecture, and the building was converted to a mosque during the 1990s. The prayer hall can accommodate 2'000 people and the complex includes a library, bookshop, gym, offices, lecture halls and a large kitchen.
