The project execution started on the outskirts of the village, where a number of units were built to house the residents of dilapidated buildings, which were pulled down and rebuilt. This process allowed the gradual renovation of the entire village. Extensions were built beyond the existing ring road and designed as clusters of housing units. Each unit is based on a traditional inward oriented plan with an internal courtyard. Façade openings are small and recessed. Two types of external facings, brick and stone, have respectively been used for different groups of houses. Some units are equipped with solar collectors.
