Preserving established green space - and so maintaining a link with nature in the urban context of Jakarta - was the guiding principle of this design. The school occupies two blocks: one contains classrooms, the other a multipurpose hall. The classroom block extends to the rear of the site, tracing an angular outline defined by existing trees. The multipurpose hall is positioned so as to shield the classrooms from the noise of the road. A swimming pool is set on a 'play hill' at the eastern end of the site. The concrete structure is infilled with brick and GRC panels.
