A project concerned with developing locally appropriate methods for improving houses and reducing vulnerability to flood hazards in a low-income community in rural Bangladesh, with a view to their wider application in other flood-prone regions. An exchange of ideas and skills between the research team and the community guided the construction of two demonstration houses.
