French Embassy

Conversion of a 19th century patrician mansion into the French Embassy. The main architectural challenge was to create a sense of intimacy and calm in the interior when the principal rooms face onto two busy noisy streets. The solution, a transparent internal envelope that reorients the building towards an inner courtyard.
