A new 17,500 square metre factory for 1,300 employees. The plant includes a production hall, office space, a reception, a restaurant, and locker rooms. Separation of administrative and industrial employees was minimized by using large glazed walls. Light in colour and heavily insulted, the production hall is enveloped with steel cladding. The design was inspired by local building practices and paid heed to environment regulations regarding hazardous materials, fire protection, etc. Native plants, low walls, walkways, and entry patios help provide a transition to and from the workplace.
