Revitalisation of an economically-poor region that is home to 352,000 inhabitants of various ethnic backgrounds. The project will span 25 years and consists of redeveloping land, agriculture, industry, and local infrastructure in a region abundant in natural resources, with particular emphasis on cultural and tribal traditions. Health and education programmes will also be introduced to people still reeling from the consequences of war. Dialogue and feedback from the region's inhabitants was sought throughout the project and their cooperation has been key in assuring the project's positive outcome.
