This project is located in the Amman downtown
area. It houses the City Hall of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), and
includes the Mayor’s offices and the City Council's Chambers, as well as
meeting rooms and senior staff offices. The base / ground floor of the building
consists of four segments that surround a circular courtyard. One of the
segments functions as an entrance to the floors above; the other three house
public exhibition areas. Local limestone is used as the external sheathing
material, but is also used to sheath a number of interior surfaces.
