The two-storey women's hostel is arranged around a diamond-shaped courtyard with the entrance, common facilities and staircase placed at each of the four corners. On the first floor, the rooms, placed in a staggered row along the four sides of the diamond-shaped structure, give onto a continous arcade overlooking the courtyard. The arches around the courtyard as well as the arched projections over the external windows aim to present an architectural unity to the building
