Kazedewan Apartment Building
Dhaka, Bangladesh

A residential building located in a densely populated locality of Dhaka. The project was designed by volunteer architects and intended for lower middle-income families. It is a five-storey building with 14 apartments; a total floor area of 990 m2; and a small shared green area. Apartments comprise two bedrooms, two toilets, a kitchen and a dinning area. The structure has a reinforced cement concrete frame construction and brick surfaces. Apartments are well lit and well ventilated - a necessity given the hot and humid climate - with brick, glass and aluminum window frames.
