This technical secondary school is situated in the semi-desert region of southwest Tunisia. It was commissioned by the Ministry of Education to provide training and educational facilities for 1,200 students. Simple geometrical forms were chosen to enable an easy identification of different functions. The school is organized around a triangular court. Six blocks, containing 38 classrooms, are found on the southwest side, these are connected by a gymnasium to six workshops and annexes on the north side. All buildings are rectangular in shape and both the classrooms and workshops are arranged in a stepped layout. The construction is the reinforced concrete frame structure with brick infill.
