On two floors organised around an open courtyard, the hospital for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer contains specialised wards, outpatient clinics, and laboratories. Except in private and technical areas, all of the hospital facilities are provided with natural light, either directly or indirectly; an exterior mashrabiyya of perforated high-performance concrete filters the harsh sunlight, while full-height glazing walls open onto the courtyard. The facility hospital incorporates efficient, sustainable design elements and is provided with highest quality equipment and technology. For the comfort of patients, strict adherence to the standards of public and private areas conforms to contemporary and traditional Maghrebi culture.
