The park features three boardwalks, altogether a pathway of three kilometres, through an existing mangrove reserve. Several learning centres along the route provide information on mangroves and on the aquatic life underneath them; architectural interventions are kept to a minimum, and a central visitors centre also provides food and beverage facilities as well as public information and reception areas. Durable steel and concrete foundations support the boardwalk that is covered in treated timber, as are the benches, handrails, shading trellises, observation tower, etc. The park is sensitive to protecting the mangrove groves as well as the avian and marine species native to the reserve.
