Designed for a small city plot, this contemporary theatre blends interior flexibility and exterior durability. Through simple adaptations, it can host all kinds of gatherings - dance shows, plays, concerts, exhibitions, meetings, workshops, cocktail parties, fashion shows, TV interviews. Pressed brick, titanium zinc, and precast concrete are the maintenance-free primary materials. The colonnaded entrance canopy contains a café. Inside, beyond the full-height foyer, a multipurpose hall subdividable by folding panels is at ground level and a black-box theatre space at first floor. The latter is a non-directional square with circulation corridors to allow actors to enter from different angles. Its retractable seating can accommodate 200 to 400 people depending on the configuration. A high-quality infrastructural system manages acoustics, stage mechanics, lighting, sound, and display. Storage areas in the basement and backstage zones are connected with each other via large moving load-carrying platforms. The basement also contains a three-level car park.
