Palanga Art and Architecture Farm
Erzincan, Türkiye

An ambitious programme by the hereditary owner of a 100-hectare farm in eastern Turkey characterised by harsh winter and summer climates, the organic agricultural component seeks to repair the pesticide-damaged land; the architectural component includes residential buildings for the owner and for the farm workers and staff, and several structures for cattle, goats, and chickens; facilities planned for the future include an architectural library and guest facilities. Noted Turkish architects worked with younger ones for the design of the innovative farm and residential structures that were built by craftsmen from a nearby village - community facilities for the village are also encompassed in the project.
