A pilot project for the bank’s plan to concentrate its facilities in the Pejompongan area, this 34-storey tower occupies a narrow, elongated site close to Jakarta’s main highway. Its three-storey parking podium, connecting directly to the main lobby and a 1,200-seat auditorium, also shelters a 70 m drop-off lane - one of the architects' signature high-rise design features to protect visitors in the harsh rainy season. The podium is also open all round, with an encircling pedestrian walkway permeable to the surrounding neighbourhood. The remaining 31 storeys of offices accommodate 11 divisions - each occupying 2-3 storeys with connecting voids at every alternate level to enhance a collaborative working environment. These voids also generate additional floor area, and maximise achievable building height: in what should be a typical 29-storey tower, the architects were able to add two extra "pinnacle" floors housing a director’s meeting space, outdoor greenery and dramatic views over Jakarta.
