This project involves the redevelopment of the riverfront area, part of an effort to upgrade the city’s infrastructure and provide more green public space. The most prominent landmark in the area is the Tawba Mosque, and the design concept for the embankment landscaping includes connections to the Tukay Public Garden in front of the mosque, creating a continuous public recreational area. The project has seen the construction of new pedestrian and bicycle paths all along the riverfront, as well as the planting of trees, shrubs, and perennial grain plants, and the installation of public sculpture. Signage has been standardised and new benches and bicycle parking have been built.
