Tophane Promenade (MEGT)

Evliya Çelebi describes the promenade as follows: “All of these are organized in an order under the shadows of big tall cypresses . . . and weeping willows, plane, and linden trees. Because this is a promenade, thousands of people gather here on the second day of every religious holy day.”
