This sustainability-conscious office campus aims to embrace its natural setting: the Potohar Plateau. The architecture is rooted in Modernity but reflects the region’s heritage, including Mughal landscaping’s axial geometry. Rammed-earth walls, with steel ties for earthquake resistance, minimise heat gain from west and east. North and south façades are glazed for maximum natural lighting. Stone jaali screens, plus concrete louvres and overhangs, offer sun shading. As required by Telenor’s workplace model, the 1,200 employees are accommodated in 40-person "work zones" but with an orchestrated sequence of indoor-outdoor spaces that encourage interaction and contemplation. Two inner courts contain baolis (step wells), inspired by local tradition, where rainwater is harvested. Gridded pathways connect to outer courts with plantings and seating areas.
