This project, a chicken coop for 800 chickens, attempts to examine whether design can have a transformative effect on the rural environment without dominating the nature all around. The site, with very hot summers and very cold winters, as well as a dramatic fall in temperature from day to night, made a comfortable shelter for chickens necessary. Inside the house, the main functions that shaped the spatial design were sleeping, breeding, and socialising. In addition, breeding includes two phases: egg laying and incubation, which led to the creation of personal units for each chicken. The design of the timber structure was developed through observation of the chickens in their environment.
