A new library in Bodrum, Zai provides much needed public space for the local community. In addition to the library functions, the facility provides cafes, a wifi zone, and event space for concerts, readings, and exhibitions. The plot consists of a two-storey steel building with a terrace, as well as an existing old stone building. Both buildings are connected by a shared entry elevation. The old building houses the reading room and book storage areas and administrative offices, while the new structure has a bar and cafe area (with kitchen), that opens onto a terrace, as well as a mezzanine level that houses a grand piano.
