Located in Hamria, the area outside of the medina constructed during the colonial era and designed by Henri Prost. The old
Hôtel de Ville is at the east end of the square. Other buildings along the square include the regional
appeals court, and the main
post office in Meknes.
This elongated park runs between the two sections of Avenue. A series of cascading pools runs down the middle, surrounded by gardens.
