The originally freestanding Seljuk minaret, later incorporated into the mosque, is dated 1068-9. Within the multi-bay sanctuary there are numerous areas of deep carved stucco decoration over earlier brickwork. The stucco is not dated, but is probably from the Il Khanid period.
