Commissioned by the Directorate of Public Works of Montenegro to replace an older structure that did not have the capacity for the increasing childcare and educational needs of the area, the Kindergarten and nursery provides flexible units across a basement, ground and first floor that can be configured to a variety of uses for a maximum of 120 children. The rooms for the children are oriented to the east and south, allowing maximum sunlight throughout the day. The sunlight is regulated using vertical and horizontal panels in different colours on the façade, which also lend a distinctive architectural expression to the building.
