Four existing blocks at a former Ottoman governance headquarters were restored and rehabilitated, with two new additions, to serve as a social, educational and administrative Centre for orphaned children. There are bedrooms and facilities for children aged 3-13, an administration, a nursery, a training and vocational training facility with classrooms and workshops, a multi-purpose hall with bedrooms at ground level, and a place to assist mothers and poor women. Foundations were consolidated and stone work was cleaned, repaired and reconstructed using traditional techniques, wooden roof structures were reinforced with steel and wood sections were carefully restored. Care was taken to preserve all the mature trees on the site.
