The architect of "Pyramid House" situated in Zamalek remains unknown. This residential building presents simple volumes with an emphasis on vertical lines due to the two overhanging “avant-corps”’ in the central part. Nevertheless, the circular forms and bevelled angles of the balconies on both ends of the elevation contrast with the verticality of the structure.
The architect integrates Art Deco friezes with geometric adornments in his design. The name of the residential building “Pyramid House” is probably due to the pyramidal forms used to decorate the underside of the “avant-corps” and balconies, and also for the ironwork of the main door.
