The Islamic Center of Somerset opened in 2001, giving a permanent facility to community Muslims who had previous gathered in each other's homes to pray. The Center was designed by McCoy Architects LLC of Lexington, KY. It is a 4,284 sq. ft. two story brick building with a white dome over the prayer hall. Inside, there is a large prayer hall, classrooms, restrooms, a multi-purpose hall, and a kitchen.
