Situated
in a recently developed industrial park, this chemical production facility for area’s
thriving textile industry has a three-story administrative center, connected
with a large production wing. The entrance hall to the administrative building
is a three-story space onto which open the corridors of the upper floor areas.
The space also receives light from a two-story glass-block entrance wall.
The
production wing accommodates chemical mixing tanks on the upper level and storage
below. A partial mezzanine adjacent to the administration center has a
laboratory and a workers’ cafeteria, both overlooking the production areas. The
dark blue plaster of the administrative wing matches with colors applied over
the light gray insulating panels on the production wing. Skylit spaces also
highlight interior pastel colors.
