A building containing stores, offices and apartments constitutes the main feature of the Agadir town square. The building occupies 3580 square meters and is one of several structures commissioned for a site in the center of Agadir. The southern half of the long narrow structure borders the plaza while the northern half flanks the municipal market. The area to the north of the severely restricted site is higher in elevation than the town square and market to the south.
The ground floor of the five-storey structure is devoted to commercial enterprises. Several are restaurants whose outdoor tables enliven the plaza. Access to the offices behind the first floor arcade is either by stairways or a large ramp originating in the square and spanning an informally landscaped pool.
