Eric Bull Residence
Bodrum, Türkiye

Among the stipulation of the owner was a workroom anbd a solid, panoramic roof for his hobby of astronomical observations. The roof presented no problems as local architecture is based on a flat roof system and the workroom was constructed as a separate unit with a passage between it and the main home. The roof of the workroom can function as a terrace which can be reached from the upper floor bedroom by means of a wooden bridge.

As the house faces northwest, with the best view in that direction, an enclosed courtyard was provided on the southeast to obtain protection from the cold northerly winds. The courtyard is equipped with a barbeque and has access to the kitchen and the workroom unit. Both the workroom and main house are load-bearing stone constructions.
