Vernacular wisdom is acknowledged through the reinterpretation of traditional design vocabulary and the imaginative use of timber as predominant material for building. While the trellises provide shade to walls and windows, the open-air tropical lifestyle is here enriched by privacy, views and natural cross-ventilation afforded. Besides conforming to the requirements of a modern home, the existing structure of the house has been adapted to suit personal needs and the lifestyle the owner and his family.
