Pella Resthouse
Tabaqat Fahl, Jordan

The building has been constructed without a contractor by the local inhabitants of the village. Designed to implement traditional structural elements - vaults on bearing walls - as a tool of labour construction, this project provided income for 30 families for 16 months. The building was made of rubble stone gathered from the surrounding and transported to the building site.
