The Aga Khan Award for Architecture is one of the most rigorous architectural prizes in the world. As part of the selection process, an expert panel of On-site Reviewers are appointed each cycle. These specialists visit shortlisted projects and conduct an in-depth survey of the project through interviews with the architect(s), client(s), and users. This survey is then converted into a standardized report. The On-Site Reviewer is then asked to present their findings directly to the Master Jury. In essence, they become the eyes and ears on the ground for the Master Jury.
