Hüseyin Ağa, Ottoman Court Official

He was the chief white eunuch and keeper of the gate (Kapı Ağası ) at the Ottoman Court under Bayezid II (r. 1481-1512/886-918 AH). He is known as a patron of architecture who commissioned the Kapı Ağası Medrese in Amasya and converted the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus in Istanbul into a mosque.
