Schulbausteine für Gando (School Bricks for Gando)
was established by
Francis Kéré and friends during the final year of Kéré's studies at the
Technische Universität Berlin, to raise funds for his
final project, a primary school in his home village
Gando, Burkina Faso. According to the organization's website, it has continued to promote additional "development projects in the fields of education, health and agriculture in Gando, as we believe that education is the
most important tool to break the circle of poverty and inequality."
