Born in Montfort-l'Amaury, France in 1942, to a Vietnamese father and a French mother. She is a painter and sculptor and president of the Fundación Yannick y Ben Jakober in Alcudia, Mallorca, Spain. She is a British citizen and lives in Costa Rica, with her husband Ben Jakober.
