The Tangier American Legation Museum Society (TALMS) was established in 1975 in order to create and maintain a museum and research library in the old American Legation in Tangier, Morocco. Since renamed the Tangier American Legation Institute for Moroccan Studies (TALIM), the organization is the US-based governing body of the facility in Morocco. In addition to maintaining the collections in Tangier, a wide variety of academic, cultural, and community outreach programs are now offered at the Legation.
TALIM is also the research center of the American Institute for Maghrib Studies in Morocco.
