The Hotel Continental was built in 1865 by John Ansaldo who came from Gibraltar, next to the palace of the Cherifs of Ouezzane, formerly known as Dar D'mana.&nbsp; In 1975 the house was incorporated into the hotel.&nbsp; Where the hotel's parking lot is now is now was the location of <a target="_blank" href="http://archnet.org/sites/9589">Borj Ben-Allal</a> or Borj al-Salaam.&nbsp; SOURCES: <div>Roca, Juan Ramón.
