Provincial Medical Clinic
Mali, Guinea
Composed of a clinic and three circular huts in the courtyard, this centre is run by one nurse and her assistant. The traditional huts provide home-like living conditions for the patients and their families, visiting from neighbouring villages. This project uses stabilised earth technology, timber for roof structure and woven bamboo for walls. Energy for lighting and medical refrigerators is provided by solar panels.
